SemBreak’s almost over…

 

I was obviously on hiatus during the whole break.  I want to really rest during the so-called break so that when it’s up I would have all the energy I need for the new battle ahead: another semester full of challenges such as quizzes and graded recitations. Ugh.

I had the chance to just pig out whole day and tune in to my favorite radio stations. PrincessVi introduced me to another good-to-the-ears radio station –Monster Radio RX 93.1. Here are the songs I’m currently going gaga over:

But before I was finally able to relax, I participated in our church’s Youth Ministry Week. Well, it was a week loaded with opportunities for the young people to minister. I had loads of exciting, new experiences during that week. First, I was able to join the Human Video directed by Ate Jas which was about the life of an unbeliever who, like the prodigal son/daughter, ‘fessed up to Jesus and came back to him to join his league. I was given the opportunity to act out as the Main Character and it was a real challenge. It was too dramatic for my normal apathetic self. But I was able to pull-off the character because, well, I prayed for it. Second, we went door-knocking over the whole barangay of Mahabang Parang, Marikina and well, urm, shared the gospel. One lady I talked to was a real pain in the ass because she kept making BARA everything I say. Ugh. Another woman, on the other hand, was really creepy what with her saying that she’s a spiritista and man, she looked like someone who could have an evil spirit lurking inside her – maybe she needs the spiristista! Third, I gained new friends- okay, what would you do if you were stuck with each other for one whole week? By the way, during the whole week, we had to stay in the church. (Walang uwian) Lastly, I was able to experience being TAN! Ugh. After a whole week of no-sleep and no-rest in the church, we were treated to a whole day of swimming at the nearby resort owned by one church member. Wheaw. I really enjoyed feeling Ariel-y that I didn’t think about getting my skin burned. I just freaked out when I finally showered at the end of the day and realized how different my skin tones are. You know, yung may linya sa braso? Yung isa amputi yung isa ang negra! Yurrck. That’s an experience I would never forget because until now, my skin haven’t recovered from the sun-tan and I’m still as dark as charcoal. (Duh! Ang exagg ko! LOLS.)

Of course, it kept on pumping blood – it’s made for that purpose, anyway – but, okay, you know what I mean! It’s beating for someone (and for that someone ONLY).

That’s it. Enough said. I’m not going to indulge you, my most loved reader, into the contents of my blood-pumping system.
